We’ve built a strong, nimble team focusing on building large scale sites and social web applications, and experienced in everything from high performing infrastructure to algorithm development.
Ryan Osborn, Senior Developer
Ryan is responsible for design, implementation and systems support for research experiments and web services.
Prior to joining Signal Patterns, Ryan was a Senior Developer with the Client Metrics group at Morgan Stanley, responsible for development, instrumentation and support of two distributed client/server software services. Before that, Ryan worked in the IBM Research labs where his work resulted in patented technology, as well as at SpeechWorks and Syncsort.
When he's not working here, you'll find Ryan shredding on guitar (or trying to), staying fit, working on spare time software projects and taking road trips.
Garrett Snider, Senior Developer
Garrett focuses on the technical infrastructure for Signal Patterns.
He has broad software development experience from defense contracting to telecommunications to biotechnology. He's been in various technical leadership positions over the years but would rather be coding.
When not developing software infrastructure, he rants endlessly about all things Mac.
Garrett has a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University and a Computer Engineering Bachelor's Degree from West Virginia University.
Zhiyan Fu, PhD, Research Scientist
Zhiyan is responsible for research and algorithm development.
Prior to joining Signal Patterns, Zhiyan studied computational biology using machine learning, statistics, data mining, modeling and simulation techniques in Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York University PhD program. He received his Master degree in bioinformatics and led various interdisciplinary research and development projects in China. Zhiyan has authored numerous scientific papers and presents his work in research conferences worldwide.
Zhiyan has played a lot of badminton and is also interested in playing table tennis.
